The Mourtaou grape - also known as Cabernet Pfeffer in CA - is a forgotten bordeaux variety that is being rediscovered in the Cienega Valley. These vines were orignally planted in 1902 and 1921 and are some of only a handful of acres left in the world. Showing black pepper, baking spice, red fruits and subtle-yet-firm tannins, this is a wine to enjoy with night after night.
